A LETTER FROM ROMEO & HIS FAMILY

Patty we can't thank you enough for Romeo he's such a sweetheart he's fitting in just fine with the others and the cat we took quite a few pictures of him and I'll be sending them to you shortly. He's so exhausted from all the chasing and playing he falls over and takes a nap wherever he lands, he surely is a kind hearted little guy thank you for trusting us with him. He's learned to sit in the couple of days he's been here and boy when there's a treat to go with he sits quickly and just waits. He adores Dick and goes wherever he goes, if he goes in the bathroom or downstairs he sits and cries until he comes back the bond is really growing between them and for this I am also very greatful (the other 2 dogs are too close to me) they have a true friend in each other. Today Monday after work we went to Petco and he got to pick out treats and toys he wanted $150.00 later he has his own toys and Science Diet and of course some treats (Thank God I didn't have to pay for what he ate out of the bins!!) My parents met him on Sunday and my mom who's not so keen on dogs fell in love with him she said hey if you don't want him I think I could have him we did tell her about Wheaties but I know she likes her cats too much to be a dog person. I had to take a picture of them together he fell asleep with his head on her lap, she of course was thrilled to death she wouldn't move everytime someone walked in the room she shhhhd them so he wouldn't wake up and remain sleeping by her......so I guess he's a real keeper. THANK you again for all the time and effort you put into him Love, Nancy Dick and Romeo

Romeo is adopted!

Romeo is howling for joy! He's just been told he's found his forever family---or rather they've found him.

A kiss goodbye for foster mom Patty, who's got a hard time letting this one go.

Patty reported later:
Nancy called me Saturday afternoon to let me know that Romeo was settling into his new home nicely. As we were speaking, he was chasing his new Daschaund brother around the sofa and coffee table and had already met the cat in the bathroom and decided that his breath was too awful to be bothered with (Nancy says that the cat is very old). His sister was out in the yard with Dad ignoring him, but she thought that she would warm up to him quickly. About that time the phone went dead and after a few minutes I was able to get her back. Evidently, Romeo had grabbed the phone cord and headed down the hallway with it. I guess he thought it was time for mom to get off the phone and play.
Nancy promised to send photos and keep me posted as they all settle in. It was a little quiet at my house Sunday morning at 3 AM without my early morning walk in the backyard with Romeo, and all of my kids keep checking his crate to see where he is, but we are happy that he is somewhere that he will be loved.

Romeo is stealing hearts...

Now that Romeo got rid of the puppy competition at his foster home (Wheaties and Jersey girl have moved on...)
...he's sure a smart little boy.
...and is living up to his name...
...as rumor has it...
...that his foster mommy is absolutely smitten with him.
