Pointers in Urgent Need of Foster Homes!

These cute pointers are in desperate need of rescue!

Here is what the local rescue organization could tell us: "They do look to be pure bred pointer or a mostly pointer mix. They were picked up abandoned in the Olivet KS state park wildlife area. We have temporarily housed them with our vet clinic in Emporia KS. We have had them fecal checked/wormed as of today. Two of them have a cherry eye condition, and they are all in an emaciated state right now. I do not have a foster home I can move them to, and if I cannot obtain a commitment from another rescue organization soon I will be forced to make the decision to have them put down. I do not have a budget for extended boarding while waiting to get into foster homes.

If anyone is interested or able to take on any new pets, all of these pups are extremely friendly with no signs of aggression whatsoever on initial intake. Myself and one of our other board members would be willing to transport to another rescue if anyone can meet us halfway. We are also willing to get a first set of vaccinations in them as well, with a heartworm test on the one adult. The other five are puppies, maybe 6-7 months old??"

Illinois Birddog Rescue can only help these dogs if we have foster homes that will take these pups in! Please contact Lisa immediately, if you can help. Email address is: lisaspakowski@rcn.com
